Desai Lord Desai is a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Director of the Centre for Good Governance. He is an active and well-known member of the House of Lords. He is also an adviser to the current Labour Government. After completing studies at Berkeley, Professor Desai has taught at the LSE for 36 years and takes a particular interest in West Bengal. |

Vinay Chand Vinay Chand has for the last 20 years been a consultant to various international development agencies including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, EEC, the International Trade Centre, WTO/UNCTAD and FAO, as well as to the private sector with clients such as BAT, Pfizer, Metal Box and Paioli. Vinay Chand has carried out several investment, market and marketing studies in India and led two EEC Aid Missions to the country. |
